A training session titled “Integrating Sustainable Development Goals into the Educational and Research Process” has been held at Baku State University (BSU). The event was organized by the University’s Quality Assurance Center and delivered by the Rector’s Advisor on Quality Assurance, Asiman Ilyasov.
The training aimed to support the systematic and continuous integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into academic activities, as well as to align curricula and research initiatives with global sustainable development priorities.
Participants were introduced to the strategic importance of the SDGs in higher education, the role of universities in long-term development strategies, the promotion of interdisciplinary approaches, and the application of sustainability principles in research.
The session also covered effective mechanisms for incorporating SDGs into university governance, teaching, research, and community engagement, drawing on advanced international practices. The event concluded with an interactive exchange of views with participants.
