Within the framework of the Second World Summit on Social Development held in Doha, Qatar, on November 4, Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, held another productive meeting with UN-Habitat Executive Director Anaklaudia Rossbax.
During the meeting, new cooperation opportunities arising from Azerbaijan’s selection as Co-Chair of the Intergovernmental Working Group on “Adequate Housing for All” were discussed. Anar Guliyev emphasized the importance of further deepening collaboration ahead of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), scheduled to take place in Baku in May 2026.
It was noted that efforts to strengthen global dialogue in the areas of adequate housing, climate-resilient cities, and inclusive urban development will continue in partnership with UN-Habitat.
