In the first quarter of 2026, SOCAR carried out approximately 13 thousand meters¹ of drilling operations. During the reporting period, 1.67 million tons² of oil and 1.85 billion cubic meters³ of gas were produced from fields operated independently or with SOCAR as the main shareholder. Nationwide gas production increased by 0.4% to 12.64 billion cubic meters⁴. Overall, 6.63 million tons⁵ of crude oil were produced in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2026.
During the reporting period, SOCAR exported 3.52 million tons⁶ of oil to foreign markets. This includes oil volumes produced by the company itself, as well as the profit oil shares of the Republic of Azerbaijan and SOCAR from oil produced by international consortia operating in the country. Nationwide natural gas consumption amounted to 4.76 billion cubic meters⁷, while gas exports increased by 6.9% to 6.5 billion cubic meters⁸.
In the first quarter of the year, SOCAR processed 1.45 million tons⁹ of oil and 636 million cubic meters¹⁰ of gas. Oil processing increased by 3.7% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. More than 394 thousand tons¹¹ of oil, petrochemical and gas-chemical products produced at SOCAR’s facilities in Azerbaijan were exported to foreign markets.
