On 6 May, the WUF13 Festival took place in Mingachevir, bringing together residents and visitors as part of wider efforts to raise awareness of the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
The event was attended by Ilham Ismayilov, Head of the Mingachevir City Executive Authority, alongside senior officials and leading figures from the local community.
Through a programme of interactive activities, educational games, presentations and public discussions, a wide audience was engaged with themes including sustainable urban development, inclusive urban environments, innovative urban solutions and the cities of the future.
The interactive programme, which drew around 6,200 participants, featured a series of quizzes centred on WUF13, urban development and Mingachevir’s architectural heritage, with prizes awarded for correct answers.
