The AGF Trophy International Artistic Gymnastics Tournament has begun

From May 14 to 16, the National Gymnastics Arena is hosting exciting artistic gymnastics competitions.

Around 50 gymnasts from five countries are participating in the tournament, competing for the championship titles in both the women’s and men’s categories. The athletes are performing in the junior and senior age groups.

Representing Azerbaijan in the tournament are the following gymnasts:

Senior Women
Nazanin Teymurova, Daniz Aliyeva, Aytən Mammadova, and Khadija Abbaszada.

Junior Women
Albina Əliyeva, Leyla Məmmədzadə, Aynaz Majidzada, and Lala Zamanli.

Senior Men
Rasul Ahmadzada, Aydın Alizada, and Nikita Simonov.

Junior Men
Miryusif Ahmadzada, Ilham Salayev, Mahir Salimov, Isgandar Javadzada, and Mahammad Rustamzada.

On the first day of the tournament, junior gymnasts were awarded medals in the team competition and the individual all-around event.

Both Azerbaijan’s women’s and men’s teams won bronze medals in the team competition. In the individual all-around event, Leyla Mammadzada claimed a bronze medal among the women.
